SOMOZA UNVEILS THE STATUE OF SOMOZA
IN THE STADIUM OF SOMOZA
I do not believe that the people erected this statue to me
because I know better than you that I ordered it myself.
Neither do I pretend that I will pass into posterity with it
because I know that the people will tear it down one day.
Nor that I should have wished to erect myself in life
a monument you never would raise to me in death:
but I erected this statue because I know you hate it.
