“The posters, as usual, say it all.” This remark by British journalist Robert Fisk does raise several questions. Is it really true that posters “say it all”? And is it true for all posters or just some of them? This book, born from over thirty years of experience in collecting, cataloguing, studying, and promoting posters with a pacifist and environmental message, aims to help provide an answer to these questions and to be a tool for in-depth reflection on the posters themselves. At the same time, it also takes the opportunity to provide a tool for studying and working on the themes of peace, nonviolence, disarmament and the environment, by considering their evolution and impact through time and space.
