Landscape of Montefeltro, Italy

It doesn’t stop`raining now and the noise
which enters isn’t only of the water.
Paolo Bertolani

You never had white hair
they were just threads fallen from your sweater
I absently picked them up in the car
on the hills of our Montefeltro
now I also understand that also pain chooses
its own colours
to contaminate our memories.
